The Ford dealer near my office has !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in a lovely shade of metallic red. I’ve never been much of a Mustang guy but the independent rear suspension has me intrigued. Lunch break test drive time! It’s only 53° out but fuck it, the top’s going down.

Oh, and yeah, it has the correct number of pedals.

Right number of cylinders too!

That’s pretty cool. good to see a dealership having a manual available especially in a convertable GT.

From that angle in the picture it does look nice, and that candy-apple red paintjob is great.
I didn’t know Honda made the Accord in a convertible!
(Sorry, could not resist!)

I drove a GT with the Performance Pack back-to-back against a Camaro SS 1LE. I’ve never been much of a “Ford guy,” but walked away wanting a new Mustang.

interesting, I’ve driven the 1LE and a GT but not back to back, what makes the biggest difference for you?

The visibility in the Camaro is one of my bigger issues. That A-pillar is in the wrong spot.
That aside, I felt (I’m not looking at any comparative specs, just my driving experience) that the Mustang did everything better: handling, steering feel, acceleration, interior (that’s not saying much). The Mustang felt more nimble and left me with a smile on my face, while the Camaro was just blah. This is after stepping out of my E39 M5, which I would consider trading for the Mustang, but not the Camaro.

Fair enough, thank you for the honesty

I could be wrong, but I believe right now the dealership I work at has as many, if not more, manuals vs autos. And we probably have at least 15-20 Mustangs
